WHAT DO THE COLORED FLAGS MEAN?
The colored flag system represents current Gulf conditions behind the Henderson Park Inn. Ranging from green to double red, the flag system helps beachgoers determine the safety of the water and make the most educated decision regarding their time spent there. Typical beach set-up begins shortly after sunrise when County officials clear the beach to be operational. Conditions such as weather, local wildlife advocate services, emergency or sanitation services may impact times and set-up locations.
