HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I RESERVE BEACH SERVICE?
As a guest of the Beach Club at Fort Morgan, you may reserve beach chairs up to eight months in advance. Guests staying directly with Spectrum Resorts will receive a discount on chair rentals. Please note that proper verification is required.
ARE TENTS AND CANOPIES ALLOWED ON THE BEACH AT BEACH CLUB?
The Beach Club at Fort Morgan does allow personal tents, chairs and umbrellas. There are numerous zones along the beach front that are allotted specifically for personal set-up. Please avoid setting up directly in front of others, and do not set up in front of the rented sets. For more information please speak to an attendant at one of the three beach accesses.
IS THE BEACH WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Of the three beach accesses at the Beach Club, the access on the east side (in front of Avalon and Briston towers) is wheel chair accessible. This beach access also has showers and a water hose should you need it.
WHAT DO THE COLORED FLAGS MEAN?
There are colored flags flying at the center beach access. Each flag represents the current conditions of the Gulf of Mexico directly in front of the Beach Club in Fort Morgan. Ranging from a single green flag to a a double red flag, each one represents different rip tide conditions. A green flag means that there is little rip tide, but still be cautious. A yellow flag means that there is some rip present, especially around breaking waves. A red flag means that there is strong rip tides present, if you are not a strong swimmer you should avoid going above your thighs. A double red flag means the water is closed to swimmers. Do not go into the water during a double red flag as life threatening riptides are present and local law enforcement will fine or arrest those who go into the water.
WHAT TIME IS BEACH SET-UP?
The Beach Club attendants begin set up at 7:00AM from March through October. Set up can last from two to four hours depending upon factors such as volume, weather or other factors. Please note that our attendants set up the chairs in a neat and clean pattern, which requires more time. We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you at the beach in Fort Morgan.
