HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I RESERVE BEACH CHAIRS?
To reserve beach service ahead of your arrival, please click the "Reserve Chairs" button in the top of this page. To reserve upon arrival, stop by the hut behind the Beach Colony and speak with an attendant.
ARE TENTS AND CANOPIES ALLOWED AT THE BEACH COLONY?
The Beach Colony does allow personal tents or canopies, but must be set up BEHIND the front row and any other chairs and umbrellas. The Beach Colony does allow owners to set up immediately following the County's morning beach nesting turtle search. Please ask one of our attendants if you are unsure.
IS THE BEACH WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
With multiple beach ramps to choose from, the Beach Colony is considered wheel chair accessible. Though we cannot speak to the width or ADA compliance of the ramps. Please contact your rental owner or host for more information.
WHAT DO THE COLORED FLAGS MEAN?
Every morning you will see a colored flag flying behind the Beach Colony. These flags range from green to double red and signify severity of undertow conditions. Green is the lightest and double red flags mean that the water is closed. Please do not go in the water during a double red flag day. You may be fined if you choose to do so; as this signifies significant risk to your health.
WHAT TIME IS BEACH SET-UP?
Beach set-up at the Beach Colony begins promptly at 7:00AM. Our attendants set up a neat line (or set of lines) in parallel rows along the coast. Certain factors such as weather may delay completion. Our objective is to complete the task correctly.
